Surfing for Health & Happiness

We believe surfing has the potential to improve the health of a nation.

Surf therapy can have transformative effects. It has become a valued method of intervention taking referrals from the NHS amongst many others. It has been used to support youth mental health, military veterans, emergency service workers, gender-based violence survivors, and also refugees.

In collaboration with Edinburgh Napier University, Lost Shore is very proud to have created the ‘Surf Lab’ - a hub of health and performance related research for surfing.

The Surf Lab is pushing us forward in areas such as surf therapy, high performance surfing, adaptive surfing, and equipment research and development. Based lakeside at Lost Shore Surf Resort the Surf Lab is a global first academic surfing collaboration.

Lost Shore pledges to use our platform to improve the health and happiness of our visitors.
